When the days feel long and all you want to do is stay in your pajamas all day, it helps to have some key pieces in your wardrobe that you can count on time and time again. Read on to hear about some of my favorite pieces for the fall and how I update them each year…

I have always been a hat person and this one from PacSun is one of my favorites because of the turquoise metal details. A great way to update hats from season to season is to add a trim- try tying a ribbon or scarf around the top to give it a fresh twist.

Something else that is key to any persons wardrobe are simple and comfortable black booties. I have ranted and raved about these boots in one of my last posts so I won’t go on too long about it. But despite how inexpensive these boots are, they have quickly become my go-to shoes.

This sweater is my favorite sweater that I own to this date- it is a cream knit sweater from Miss Selfridge. With the cream color and the knit fabric, it is the perfect blend between the bright white colors of the summer and the cozy feel of the fall.

It is always hard to find the perfect pair of jeans. Wether they are too long or too short, too stiff or too high waisted, there always seems to be something wrong with them. These jeans by the brand Just Black are the most comfortable things ever. I finally welcome the morning so I can put my jeans on- they feel like leggings 🙂

This bag was purchased from the Rebecca Minkoff sample sale in the city this past spring, but there are so many similar ones both by her and from other less expensive designers that there is no excuse to have your hands full all the time.

While you are shopping this holiday season keep in mind to buy pieces that you feel will last and maybe even become your favorite pieces. What are your key pieces for the fall season? Post a pic on Instagram with #ineedmoreclothes and don’t forget to tag me @gabriela_casella 🙂
