Need a holiday outfit for a fancy party, but don’t want to spend a lot? The answer to that problem is simple, DIY. Do it yourself projects are all the rage right now and are super easy to find (Hello, Pinterest). The choker tee trend is super simple, and you can do it to everything from sweaters to tee shirts. There are so many easy tips on how to dress up your wardrobe from adding accessories in key colors to the way you wear your coat that there is so reason to panic when invited to a party. Just say yes!

When you need something a little bit fancier for a holiday party or dinner, the best thing you can do is combine a sweater with a skirt. The skirt makes the outfit fancy, while the sweater keeps you warm and tones it down so you don’t look too overdressed.

Wearing white during the winter time is taboo for some people, but I personally love it. Adding a crisp white accessory to a neutral colored outfit gives it the pop it needs to look fresh and bright. Rebecca Minkoff makes purses that have the best shape, and are small enough so you can bring it to a party. Another way you can easily spice up an outfit for a fancy holiday event is by adding cute shoes. The ones I am wearing are my BABIES!! They are the So Kate heels from Christian Louboutin 🙂

Loving the choker tee trend, but don’t want to spend a lot? It is so easy to DIY it! Grab any old sweater, mine was $5 from Forever 21, and a pair of scissors and go for it! I know it seems scary to just start cutting, but all you have to do is follow the neckline and then cut a little triangle where you want to V to be. Super easy, super quick and you will be tricking people all night.
