Living in New York brings about a lot of opportunities, one of which is access to sample sales. For those of you who do not know what sample sales are, they are where brands send their pieces that are either actual samples, the first stage a design goes through before being sold to a customer, or clothing/shoes from a different season or something that was not selling.

Sample sales are either very good, or very bad. Like I said before, they can have the cast off clothing that did not sell in any of the stores, and mostly, there was a good reason they did not sell. On the other hand, most of the time the prices are AMAZING, but you have to know the normal prices for the brands at the sale because sometimes the deal is not as great as they make it out to be.

I found this group on instagram called clothingline that hosts sample sales every week in a permanent spot in New York City. Usually, sample sales are like pop ups stores, first you see it, then you don’t, but I loved that this group was permanent. With this brand, each week or so, there are different brands that are sold at very low prices.

This week until Thursday, clothingline is hosting a sample sale featuring Free People, Milly by Michelle Smith, Tocca and Havaiana flip flops.

Some of the stuff that they had there was not my style, but I did pick up some pieces that I think will be some key pieces in my closet this fall! Check out my Instagram for some pictures of my small haul (@gabrielacasellafashion)

If you are in the New York City area, research some sample sales that may be popping up near you! It is a great experience that I will definitely be checking them out frequently now 🙂

Have a glamorous day!

To be sure, lots of imitation products make it through.
Yet why deficient harder on the counterfeiters?
