I went to the Ariana Grande concert while I was in Pennsylvania and I wanted to write a review for you guys. As many of you know, I am a huge fan of her, but I am going to try not to let that get in the way of writing a good review 🙂

The opening video/countdown:
The show started with a video of Ariana saying how she wants the show to start with a countdown. The countdown was in the form of an old-film countdown and was accompanied by music that included remixed parts of her songs. I think this was a great way to start the concert, because it made it very intimate and the countdown made all the fans super excited and made you just want to get up and dance.

The show began with the party hit, Bang Bang, which I think is one of the best songs of hers to start the show with. The excitement was there from the minute the show started, which I think the whole audience appreciated.

During the show, there was a lot of visual things going on. There was an electronic backboard that changed with the songs, and there were a couple of costume changes. Although those things played a big part in the show, Ariana backed it all up with her amazing voice. I mean, come on, don’t we all wish we had that voice?

Something that was really special about this particular show is that it POURED rain the whole time. The show had to be stopped twice because the thunderstorm got really bad and it was bad for the technology. Both of these times, Ariana wouldn’t get off the stage and kept saying that she was going to continue the show. She tried to sing stuff a-cappela, but eventually had to get off stage while we went under the grand stands for cover.

When the show started the second time, there was less dancing because of the rain and no more costume changes. It became a much more intimate setting where Ariana just sat on stage, talked, laughed and sang her cat ears off. The rain brought us a lot closer to her and I realized that her love for her fans is very strong.

She ended the show with her two most popular songs, Break Free and Problem, after which she thanked her fans and the audience multiple times for staying and braving the rain.

Overall, I think this show is perfect for anyone to see. There is fun videos and themes that everyone, from young girls to adults, will enjoy. For someone who loves music, she picked a good variety of her songs and does a mashup of Vogue/I’m Every Woman that made you feel so empowered, you wanted to get up there and dance along with her. The dancing was amazing, and being a dancer myself, there was a lot of variety in the dances that were portrayed, from tap, hip-hop and even the Charleston. And about the merchandise, who wouldn’t want a pair of cat ears 🙂

As always,

Have a glamorous day!
xoxo Gabriela
