I’m in Westchester for a little bit, which is where I grew up, and I thought I would highlight five of my favorite small businesses and entrepreneurs in the area! It is so important to shop small and support independent businesses, even more so during this time. I couldn’t possibly cover all of them, but here are some of my favorites!
1. Lola NY
This is a clothing and accessories boutique, run by two of the sweetest women, Dawn & Denise. I’m a little biased because I used to work here during high school and during college breaks, but it really is the best store! They have such an eye and offer the trendiest products, you will not leave empty handed.

This goes along with Lola, they are located a couple doors down! They have the best coffee, and the most delicious snacks and sweets that are all handmade. They also have the sweetest people working there, when I worked at Lolas I would go in and get a snack and an iced cappuccino (with cinnamon on top) every time.
3. Benefiscent
This company is run by one of my friends from high school, Taylor, and she makes the best candles. To make it even better, 20% of proceeds are donated to help fund cancer research.

If you are from Westchester and you haven’t been here I can’t be your friend. It is my favorite spot, I’ve been getting their sandwiched for YEARS and they genuinely are the best. Not to mention some of the friendliest and nicest humans work there, you’ll come out of there with a smile on your face. They are offering food for delivery or pick up!
5. Cindy’s Nails
Ok, so this one you need to save until everything opens up again, but this is my little secret. It is the BEST nail salon in the area, but you HAVE TO call and make an appointment. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed, my manicure lasts forever when I get it done here. It is the only place I go, seriously GO!
