Hello lovelies! Since my birthday is on christmas, I cannot celebrate it completely so my half birthday is a big deal in my house. It was today ad to celebrate, my mom took me around NYC to some of my favorite places.

First, we went down to the fashion district to admire the small fabric and trimming stores. I love it in the garment district because everywhere you look you see creative people and artists taking inspiration from the city around them. Especially when you walk near the Fashion Institute’s large campus, you will see up-and-coming designers. I can only hope I am included with them one day…

For lunch we went to Serafina, one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the city. It is a chain and usually I do not like chain restaurants, but this one is so great it doesn’t even taste like one. If you close your eyes it almost feels like you are in Italy, that is how amazing it tastes. The flavors are so fresh and absolutely delicious. My favorite is the heart-shaped lobster ravioli, need I say more 😉
Lastly, we wondered around Times Square, somewhere I do not like to find myself in very often, but I love seeing pother people’s reactions to the place I love so much. It is easy to take for granted the beauty in the things around us. That is why each day I try to stop and look around me, so I do not miss any of the small things that make this world so beautiful, like pigeons.
