Since January is drawing to a close, I thought I would talk about some of my favorite winter products because snowy February is coming! These products are perfect for the dry skin and sensitivity that the cold weather sometimes brings. They also follow a wintry color palette which is mostly browns and neutrals.

The first product that I have been obsessed with recently has been the Maybelline Baby Skin pore minimizing primer. I have used this for a while now, but I love it especially for winter because it gives a nice base for your foundation. I recommend this for people with both oily and dry skin because it prevents the foundation from creasing but at the same time does not make you oily. Personally, I have large pores and this makes such a difference the minute I apply it.

The foundation that I have been loving for the winter months has been the Revlon 24 Hour Color Stay Foundation. This foundation is the exact same thing as the Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo foundation, but is more than half the price! I like this foundation for the winter time because it is very thick and can give you a full coverage foundation which is what people tend to lean towards when it is cold out. The only problem is that you cannot use too much because it can get cake-y. Another thing that could be an issue is if you get the wrong one. They have one for oily skin and another for dry so make sure to pick the one right for your skin. I accidentally picked up the one for combination-oily skin and it dried my skin right up! The best thing about this product is that is comes in so many different colors so there is one out there for you. Overall, this is a great winter product!

The next product I am going to talk about is the Mac Cosmetics Pro Longwear Paint Pot in the color Painterly. I have heard about this for so long and I finally invested in it and I love it. It is a little more on the pricy side, but it is worth every cent! I always have a problem with my eyeshadow creasing or fading throughout the day and this keeps my eyeshadow looking the same from morning until night! It does not budge at all and saves all the reapplying and embarrassing crease marks. The only con is if you put too much on it looks a little cake-y because it is a thick primer. This is my top favorite product that I recommend.
My favorite eyeshadow palette for the winter time has to be the Lorac Vintage Vixen Matte Eyeshadow Palette. I am a big fan of matte eyeshadows and this small palette contains five neutral matte shadows in varying shades of brown with a pop of neutral purple. I love this palette because the colors are really warm and perfect for the winter time when people tend to wear neutrals. I also love that it has a purple color because sometimes you want some color, but not too much and I think it is the perfect shade. These shadows are super easy to blend and can have a sheer or full color payoff. I bought mine on black friday for $10.00 and I believe it is sold out other than on ebay, but here are some close palettes.

For the winter time, I love a bold lip color. I personally cannot choose what color I like better; a spicy red or a vibrant purple. Red goes good with any skin tone and any hair color, but I love it for people with tan skin and brown or blonde hair. I think it complements those nicely, but I love how classic it looks on everybody. Purple is also a very versatile color. I personally love it on people with fair skin and dark hair because it brings some color into the face. My favorite brand at the moment is Elizabeth Arden because these lipsticks are super creamy, super pigmented and they last all day.
